The Original Manuscript of the Hymn was professionally scanned in Jerusalem in 1994
and markings made by plastic tape were carefully edited by Kosinski Studio

I first met Anna Grace Lind in the early 90's at the American Colony Hotel, Jerusalem.
Anna Grace was Horatio Spafford's grand-daughter, a lovely Christian lady
who was the last of the Spafford's still living at the Colony.

We spoke at length in the old courtyard - conversation steeped in recollections of former days.
Anna Grace lent me the hymn manuscript to clean up and make readily avaiable
as a print in a format which retained the original appearance while editing out
the recent markings of the tape used to keep it together

The Original is now in the Library of Congress
